Mutual Logistics launches "Mutual Food", a new logistics and transport service for manufacturers
Mutual Logistics is aiming to become the leader in logistics pooling in France. To achieve this, the group plans to open 7 multi-industry distribution centres at the heart of production areas.
The first of these is a 34,000 m2 site in Orléans, which is already home to around fifty manufacturers of groceries, wines and DPH products, including Michel et Augustin, Jordans', Nautilus and Triumph.
As Vincent Denis, founder and chairman of Mutual Logistics, explains: "We offer manufacturers the opportunity to consolidate inbound transport, storage and delivery to supermarket platforms in order to reduce their costs and increase their competitiveness. By mechanically improving all these assets, we naturally boost their productivity!
Building on this initial experience, Mutual Logistics intends to open 6 additional distribution centres over the next 18 months to cover the whole of France: Honfleur (Calvados), Cholet (Maine-et-Loire), Roye (Somme), Beaune (Côte d'Or), Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne) and Orange (Vaucluse).
