Mutual Logistics is continuing to roll out its primary network of multi-industry warehouses for Grocery Products.
Following the opening of its first 31,000 m² Grocery Products Shared Distribution Centre in Orléans, Mutual Logistics is announcing the launch of two new platforms: one of 18,000 m², which will come on stream in Bollène (84) in the 2nd quarter of 2024, and another of 32,500 m² in Rennes-Janzé (35), the construction of which will be completed by the start of the new academic year.
Both sites will have Breeam Very Good environmental certification, and will have storage capacities of 32,500 and 50,000 pallet spaces respectively. Ultimately, they will each employ more than a hundred people.
Mutual Logistics is getting closer to manufacturers based in the food-producing regions of western France and the south of France. It will offer them the opportunity to pool their deliveries to customers located throughout France, and will provide them with IFS Logistics-certified supply, warehousing and co-packing services.
"With these new investments, the Mutual Logistics Group will shorten the logistics circuits of the Grocery Products sector, and increase the utilisation rate of means of transport. This will help to improve the sector's competitiveness and reduce its carbon footprint. Given the interest shown by the players in the Grocery Products sector, both manufacturers and retailers, we are going to speed up the development of our primary national network and extend it to other regions in France," says Vincent Denis, Chairman of the Mutual Logistics Group.
