Unilever has entrusted the service provider with logistics operations for the south of France for its ice cream brands. This will be Mutual Logistics' first customer for the 7,000 m² extension to its Attignat Bourg-en-Bresse frozen food shared distribution centre.
Last June, the service provider Mutual Logistics announced theThe addition of a further 7,000 sq.m cell to its shared frozen food distribution centre in Attignat, Bourg-en-Bresse (01), scheduled for the second half of 2021.This extension will bring the total surface area of the platform to 28,000 m², and will welcome the Unilever Group as its first customer. The global FMCG specialist has signed a contract with the logistics provider, awarding it the logistics contract for the south of France for its ice cream brands, including Magnum and Carte d'Or.
It was Unilever France's know-how in shared logistics, the competitiveness of the centre's offering for frozen products, and its expertise in logistics operations for food products that convinced it to opt for Mutual Logistics. For Unilever, the arrival of the company at this shared distribution centre underpins the potential for synergies between its various customers on the site.
