This new Mutual Logistics contract at its Poupry-Orléans centre with the General Mills group, for the logistics management of its grocery brands in France, strengthens the service provider's position in the pooled logistics market in this sector.

After hiring a transferring its Orléans operations to the new Poupry-Orléans site in the Centre-Val de Loire region, Mutual Logistics announced at the beginning of the year that it was going to use the new site to manage the distribution of several product categories from the distributor Solinest. Shortly after the centre opened on 8 June and the first orders for Solinest were dispatched on 1 July, the logistics services provider announced that it would be welcoming another customer to the centre in the fourth quarter of 2020: the General Mills food group, which produces and distributes the Yoplait, Häagen-Dazs, Géant Vert, Nature Valley and Old El Paso brands in France. Mutual Logistics' know-how in pooled logistics and its expertise in food products helped convince General Mills to sign up for the national logistics contract for its grocery products at this new shared distribution centre for fast-moving consumer goods.
